There are eight types of people who can receive zakat. Allah explains them enough and informs us that it is an obligation and that the regulation on giving zakat is based on absolute knowledge and wisdom. Allah, the Exalted, says:\u00a0Zakat can be given to the poor (fukara \u2018) and the needy (mesakin) and to those who collect it and to those whose hearts are to be won for the redemption of slavery and the debtors and for the needs of The way of Allah and the traveler. This is an obligation (provision) from Allah! Allah is Knower and Wise.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
